Die vorliegende Arbeit umfasst ein Projekt über eine spezielle Holzverbindung: den Kreuzzapfen. Dieser klassische und häufig gebrauchte Knoten wird im Folgenden von uns genauestens analysiert und anhand verschiedenster Hilfsmittel experimentell ausgearbeitet. Unser Projekt erstreckte sich über sechs Wochen. Von der Planung bis zur endgültigen Ausstellung im Foyer der Universität Innsbruck - Campus Technik sind viele Stunden in die Entwicklung und Ausarbeitung geflossen. Darüber hinaus waren schwere Arbeit, viel Kreativität und intensivste Teamarbeit notwendig. Dazu noch ein passendes Sprichwort: „Mit einer Hand lässt sich kein Knoten knüpfen.“

The present study comprises a project about a special wood joint: the cross pin. This classic and frequently used used node will be analyzed in detail in the following and experimentally elaborated with the help of various tools. Our project spanned six weeks. From the planning to the final exhibition in the foyer of the University of Innsbruck - Campus Technik, many hours went into the development and elaboration. In addition, hard work, a lot of creativity and intensive teamwork were necessary. There is a german fitting saying: „Mit einer Hand lässt sich kein Knoten knüpfen.“
