Von der Metamorphose zum Wandelement - floragon

Ziel dieses Projekts war es, mittels Keramik 3D Druck ein Wandelement herzustellen, welches sich wie eine Metamorphose verändert.
Dazu wurde als erster Schritt eine Metamorphose Eschers gewählt, und daraus eine eigene Entwickelt. In unserem Fall war die Ausgangsform ein Sechseck welches sich in eine blumenartige Form entwickelt, daher auch unser Projektname floragon (flora & hexagon).
Nach dem digitalen Zeichnen der einzelnen Elemente, und dem schreiben des Keramik 3D Druck Skripts, konnten wir auch schon mit den ersten Testversuchen starten.
Nach dem erfolgreichen Druck der 16 Elemente konnten diese glasiert und gebrannt werden.
Zum finalen Ergebnis wurden noch Kunststoff 3D Druck Elemente hinzugefügt.

The aim of this project was to produce a wall element by means of ceramic 3D printing, which changes like a metamorphosis.

The first step was to choose one of Escher's metamorphoses and develop our own from it. In our case, the initial shape was a hexagon that evolves into a flower-like form, therefore our project name floragon (flora & hexagon).

After the digital drawing of the single elements, and the writing of the ceramic 3D printing script, we could already start with the first test attempts.

After the successful printing of the 16 elements, they could be glazed and fired.

For the final result, plastic 3D printing elements were added.
